Terms and Conditions for Entry into Free Merimbula Tennis Club Championship

Welcome to the Merimbula Tennis Club Championship! Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before entering. By registering, all participants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

Eligibility
a. The championship is open to all members of Merimbula Tennis Club, aged 8 years and above.
b. All entrants must have a current, active membership with Merimbula Tennis Club.
c. Participants must be in good standing with the club and adhere to all club policies.
d. Players under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent to participate.

Entry Fee
a. Entry to the championship is free.
b. All equipment (e.g., racquets, balls) will be provided by the club unless otherwise stated.

Registration
a. To participate, players must complete the online registration form by the closing date and submit it to the club’s administration or via email at sapphirecoasttennis@gmail.com.
b. Late entries may not be accepted.

Match Rules and Format
a. Matches will follow the official rules of tennis as defined by Tennis Australia, subject to the discretion of the club organizer.
b. The tournament format will be single-elimination (or specify another format), with matches scheduled by the club.
c. Participants are expected to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled match. Late arrivals may result in forfeiture.

Sportsmanship and Conduct
a. All participants must demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect toward opponents, officials, and club property.
b. Any inappropriate behavior may result in immediate disqualification and possible suspension from the club.

Liability and Waiver
a. By entering, participants acknowledge they are physically fit to compete and participate at their own risk.
b. Merimbula Tennis Club, its employees, and volunteers are not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses sustained during the event.
c. Participants (or their guardians, if under 18) must sign a waiver prior to competing.

Media and Photography
a. By participating, players consent to the club’s use of photos and videos taken during the championship for promotional purposes, including social media and the club website.
b. Participants who do not consent must inform the club in writing before the event.

Prizes
a. Winners and runners-up in each category will receive awards as determined by the club.
b. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.

Changes to Terms and Conditions
a. Merimbula Tennis Club reserves the right to modify or cancel the championship and these Terms and Conditions at its discretion.
b. Any changes will be communicated to participants via email or the club’s official communication channels.

Acceptance of Terms
By entering, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
